theatre shows like Kiss Me Kate and Die Fledermaus and made guest appearances on other TV shows. She also became involved with music education shows for schools both through the Arts Council networks and independently.
Los Angeles-born singer Louetta Farrarspent the early part of her career in the USA before making her new home in Australia. In the USA she appeared in many musical shows including 'Call Me Madam', 'Song of Norway' and 'La Boheme'. She was a highly-acclaimed 'Maria' in a production of 'The Sound of Music' in Las Vegas. As well as working in theatre, Louetta made several TV appearances in variety shows, sang in TV commercials and performed extensively in cabaret.
After singing her way to Australia aboard the 'Love Boat', Louetta landed a contract with the West Australian Opera as principal soprano - a contract which ran for three years. There followed three years as one of the stars of ABC Television's award-winning, lavish musical series 'The Saturday Show' which was produced in Melbourne and was telecast nationally.
By this time Louetta had married musician and entertainer George Antony Karko and they began extensive touring with their unique cabaret double-act. At the same time Louetta continued her solo career with appearances with the symphony orchestras of Melbourne, Queensland, Adelaide, Western Australia and Tasmania, starred in
